The King County Sexual Assault Center (KCSARC) needs a real estate partner to help it find new office space for its employees. The non-profit organization serves people in some of the darkest moments of their lives and helps victims of sexual assault recover from the trauma they experienced.
Whether they are children, teenagers, or adults, we help them deal with what has happened to them. “During last year’s pandemic, we helped more than 4,000 victims of sexual assault,” said Mary Ellen Stone, executive director of KCSARC. “More than four out of ten customers are children.”
Building Strength And Dignity Through Real Estate
JLL has the opportunity to combine its real estate knowledge with a passion for helping people. KCSARC employees can not only make their work more efficient but also make the people they serve feel welcome and safe.
“We are focused on helping KCSARC achieve its mission and we want to do it better than ever. This is where we are very proud,” said Bob Nielsen, Executive Vice President of JLL. JLL is run by the people behind the real estate agency.
Rob quickly recognized the opportunity to make a positive impact on the KCSARC staff, whose work was a formidable intellectual challenge. “They always help other people. How can we help them?” asked Nielsen. He looks for a warm, comfortable, and cute place to enhance his employees’ sense of well-being.
Make room to help victims recover and recover
Creating the right environment to accommodate any survivor of sexual assault while navigating the healing process is critical. It should be a place that encourages rebirth, well-being, and recovery.
Mary Ellen and the rest of the team help these survivors start their lives over and move on with strength and honor, leaving behind what happened to them.
Promote a flexible work environment
It’s important to find an adjustable space that can serve multiple functions, allowing things to move indefinitely. Since moving into its new home, KCSARC has taken advantage of the flexible environment and made full use of the relocation around the office layout to cater to the various needs of the organization.
Professional assistance in navigating the real estate market
Navigating the world of real estate can be difficult. Given the variables the body may or may not pick up on, this means finding the right position can be like trying to set a moving goal.
Real estate can be expensive and the obligation to sign a lease can put the body under stress. “I’ve always felt that JLL was just our rock,” said KCSARC Stone. “JLL has always said you are as important as some of our key corporate clients.”
Passing bricks and mortar
The reinvention of KCSARC is a reminder that when the right people are involved, real estate projects become more than just bricks and mortar. The right environment can change and have a positive impact on thousands of people. JLL supports organizations working to make a positive difference in the world.
This journey proved fruitful and left an impression on everyone’s hearts. This project is not only successful in terms of office space but also creates a ripple effect that will affect society as KCSARC continues to serve its mission.
